The successful candidate will be responsible for interacting with our guests (employees), fellow staff members, and management staff in our restaurant in a polite courteous manner. The successful candidate must also have the ability to supervise and communicate critical information to our dishwashing team, monitor equipment functionality and maintenance throughout all outlets, schedule equipment maintenance when necessary, and assist with food prep and firing tasks when not supervising dishwashing team or managing equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and communicates critical information to dishwashing team
- Maintains an extensive working knowledge of the operation of all the equipment in the restaurant
- Demonstrates proficiency in food preparation and ability to assist wherever needed in kitchen
- Demonstrates sanitation and food safety practices consistently
- Checks over restaurant from previous close to ensure a safe and secure environment
- Completes daily, weekly and monthly jobs timely and accurately
- Follows company safety standards at all times and looks out for the safety of other team members and guests
- Coordinates job duties around other opening team members to help ensure efficient preparation for opening
- Completes other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the manager on duty
Basic Qualifications
- 1 year of restaurant experience or customer service oriented related role
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Valid CA Food Handler’s Card
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Leadership experience
- Restaurant food prep/experience
- Inventory experience
- Machine maintenance experience
- Self-motivated and works well with others
Additional Requirements
- Ability to carry large heavy items, such as dishes in tubs or trays unassisted (at least 25 lbs.)
- Able to stand for long periods of time – up to 8 hours a day
- Ability to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
- Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects
